I've got a floor plan I'm happy with in Rawla's flip, I have placed most of the furniture so I at least know what is going where even if some of it may change style and I am about to begin CASting the house. I'm really really happy with how it's turning out (which is highly unusual for me.... I guess I need to wait until I'm CASting it before I have my usual bout of self doubting). The only thing I haven't touched yet are the two kids bedrooms on the first floor, I am currently stumped for ideas. Unfortunately I think some of the store kids room items would be brilliant in there, but (apart from the fact I am cc free) I object to the principle of the store and therefore do no get anything from it.... "I AM THE FISH!" (this will make no sense to anyone.... but I know what I'm talking about hee hee!)
I haven't done much more work on Spider but it does now have a kitchen. I haven't got any further because I've been working on the flip. It's kind of a bigger priority unfortunately since we now have SO many flips in the FLIP thread and only 6 of us available to work on them..... 5 of us are currently working on flips already and there are another 6 or 7 still waiting for flippers *sigh*, it's just bad luck that so many people have been taken out by computer glitches at one time.
Anyway, hopefully I will be able to get the flip done in the next few weeks and then I can get a bit more done on spider.... I am determined that this house will not take me 7 months to complete!
Hmmm, given I haven't done spider yet it's hardly a flip LOL But the point is more that spider is doing alright, I haven't had a chance to work much more on it but I have been trying to get a floor plan working.... the shape of the house is however making that very difficult. I was hoping it would be a 3 bedroom house but it's looking like it may only be 2 now :(
Also that is currently on hold as I am in the process of FLIPPING a house for Rawla (with the help of PC otherwise known as Peacemaker_ic) like Spider, I'm stuck on the floor plan. It's a log cabin so I'm trying to give it a cosy family home feel not just in the decor but in the layout and I'm struggling a little at the moment. I have the first floor sorted but the ground floor isn't coming together as easily. I'm hoping that have a weekend free to just play around will bring some inspiration and I'm going to search the net for some log cabin floorplan layouts to give me an idea of what might be appropriate and maybe spark some inspiration.

It's so nice to finally have this house up where people can see it after talking about it for so long. Now heres hoping the next one doesn't take 7 months!
You may have noticed that despite my last post stating Greystone was finished and ready to go that it is not yet up on the website. This is because I didn't, in the end, have time to playtest it this week and I am not uploading an untested house. I did have time to start working on the front cover and picture taking though so all is not completely lost. I'm hoping to have it done this week, and by 2 weeks from now at the lastest.
I have also started on a new shell, currently named "Spider" as a working title. It's inspired by PC's latest "New Shinto" build though you probably wouldn't be able to tell that from looking at it. The original was definitely inspired by it but it's had a few alterations and modifcations since then and now bares no resemblance to what I started with. I'm hoping that this lot won't take me as long to complete as Greystone, but I do have some other ideas I want to start working on as well, one of which is a recreation of a large family house set in an orchard that I made in sims 2 and would like to have a go at in sims 3 (just need to fire up the old game and get some layuot screen shots).
Last of all, the latest news is that my wordpress site is finally finished. All of the walkthroughs now have their pictures and are all connected to their respective builds. I've also updated the front page to make it a bit more professional (or something :D) I'm still working on bits and pieces here and there but it's more tinkering to get it how I want it now, rather than actually getting the structure complete :) Think of it like a finished sim house, all the exterior, landscaping and decor is done but it just needs some clutter added to give it that "lived in" look :).
