RIP Seraphina

Christopher passed away several days ago and my first Legacy sim, Seraphina passed away today at the age of 109. She lived a good life considering how hard life started for her on that big empty lot. Finding a suitable mate wasn't easy when she had no place to invite them back to. Anyhow Angelina met and married the maid, Lynn Abney and they ultimately had four kids: twin girls, Brooke and Bianca, Brandon, and Bryan. Brooke will carry on the legacy since she was technically born first. Brooke already has her eyes on a classmate, Aleksey Bunch!
Legacy family update - the third generation has been born

I was playing my Legacy family today and was looking at classmates for my third generation kids and saw my sim made friends with an adorable little girl named Mindy Landgraab. Turns out it's her cousin. My first sim, Seraphina, had two kids, Angelina and Jason, and I chose the first to carry on the legacy. This happened to be Angelina, so I guess I'm going with a matriarch there. I had Jason move out when he was mid way into his young adult years. Well he apparently hooked up with Tiana Landgraab and had little Mindy. You just never know where a relative might show up.
Now I have Seraphina at 101 days still in the house. Her Husband, Christopher Steele, died at 91. Angelina married the maid, Lynn Abney, and they had twin girls, Brooke and Bianca, and two sons, Brandon and Bryan (not twins). Since Brooke was the first born, she'll carry on the Legacy family. The others will move out when they are mid way thru the young adult phase. It's fun to see who they find on their own and how the family expands.
I may have to create some cheap starter homes for them to move into as well as possibly build a few sim families for them to meet down the road. Otherwise, I fear my 6th or 7th generation sims may only have relatives living in town... and... well... that's no good
My Legacy Family Begins

A few days ago I began my Legacy family. I chose a female to start with and named her Seraphina Legacina. She met Christopher Steel at a protest outside of city hall. They hit it off right away. They had a whirlwind love affair and before long the two were married and living on Seraphina's lawn since she was too poor to build a house.
Christopher moved in and brought with him around $5500. They used his money to build a foundation and set up a few walls. Their dream home's construction had begun. They had to live in a little trailer on the corner of the lot for a while as their funds kept running out quickly on the house construction.
They now have a little home and two children. Their oldest, Angelina, will carry on the Legacina family name on this lot. Their youngest, Christopher... well we'll have to see what becomes of young Christopher.
Angelina just transitioned to a child and, apparently, suffered a bit from the hard times of her upbringing and I wasn't able to choose the trait for this transition. Sadly, she picked up the Mooch trait. Probably a good thing since I doubt I could give a sim of mine that trait on purpose. It will be fun to see how that affects her. Her other traits so far are Brave and Friendly. So now she's a Brave, Friendly Mooch =)
So far Christopher is an Athletic Genius. But I'm sure I can screw him up a bit as I begin shifting my focus to Angelina and prepping her to find a mate in town to carry on the name.

I am tracking my new Macbook via FedEx and apparently my computer is taking a short vacation before reaching me. First it spent a couple of days kicking around Shanghai, China and currently is spending the night in Anchorage, Alaska. My laptop is seeing places I want to see =)
New Computer Take Two

I gave up on the Dell and after that whole XPS 630i fiasco was determined to not do business with a company that ships its support function overseas. That pretty much eliminated Dell, HP, and Sony so I looked at Apple.
I had been contemplating making the switch for a couple of years now and finally just bit the bullet. I ordered a new Macbook Pro 15" with a 2.8GHz processor and 4GB of RAM with NVIDA GeForce 9400M and 9400M GT with 512MB. Can't wait for it to arrive in a few days and begin my learning curve as I officially switch from PC to Mac =)
