Announcing The Magical Roots Legacy

GEPOSTET AM 25.06.2009 18:08

Hey there folks! For those of you who have found your way to my blogs before, it\'s no news that I like to blog about my sims. The news here though is that I\'m attempting my first ever legacy.

\"What?\", you say, \"You\'ve never done a legacy before?\".

Nope, never. I\'ve attempted tons of Apocalypses and never finished them for various reasons, I had a booming Prosperity challenge until my hard drive failed, but I\'ve never done a legacy. It just didn\'t seem challenging enough. The reason I decided to give it a shot this time is that it\'s a great way to get to know the game. Plus, if Pinstar does come up with Apocalypse rules, at least I\'ll have an easier challenge to go back to when my head starts meeting my desk too often.

Since I didn\'t actually read the rules before creating my account (who does, honestly?) I won\'t post a link in my blog, but you can find links to the story at boolprop.

"Let There Be Sims (3)!"

GEPOSTET AM 02.06.2009 23:54

To be fair to any who may start reading this, I never keep personal blogs updated. I\'m not bad about updating my apocalypse blogs (unless the computer explodes or I haven\'t actually been playing) but personal blogs.... Well, you\'ll be lucky to read something here every couple of months.

More exciting however... I GOT IT!!! Too bad I\'m so rural or I would have had it earlier, as it is, since I live in the back of beyond it didn\'t arrive till around 3 pm, but I\'m still luckier than those in the UK.

Couldn\'t have come on a better day either. My 13 yr-old is up to his old tricks of stealing all the snack food and sneaking onto my brand new Alienware even though he\'s supposed to earn time to spend on the Dell instead. The 4 yr-old decided to break my best friend\'s computer so I had to run back over there and fix it. The 7 yr-old is actually being good today except for the fact that every 5 minutes he runs into the office to complain that his little brother isn\'t helping him clean. Hah! You all thought I was kidding about being the crazy mother of three crazy boys, didn\'t you? Admit it! Worse yet, this is a pretty typical day, and it\'ll only get worse since summer is almost here.

While I wait for the littles to go to bed and the hubbie to leave for baseball I\'m writing this and perusing all the sites for info from others. Once I get into the game I don\'t want to be interrupted. I was in a complete panic after realising that my CE hadn\'t come with the promised poster only to realise that at the bottom of my Classic car e-mail there was another link for a downloadable poster. That SUCKS. That is not a poster and when they said it was a map of town that\'s exactly what I expected a map, not a nice picture of the town with some smaller pictures of some place of interest. I was looking forward to putting a Sims 3 poster up next to my Marvel universe poster too. Yes, I\'m a thirty year-old woman who loves to pin up posters in my basement, I love Marvel, I love all things supernatural, and I admit that if I had the money I\'d always have the newest and shiniest tech toys I could get my hands on.

There\'s more on a more positive note, but since I only briefly glanced at the 20 zillion page long agreement, I\'m not sure if it\'s an okay topic to post about. No, it\'s not something that should be rated X or R. Just don\'t want to get in trouble my first day, so I\'ll play it safe for now. All I\'ll say is that it involves being able to give up a bad habit in the near future.

Congratulations on being a very patient and understanding person if you actually managed to read all the way to the end of this and still haven\'t gotten sick of my complaining. It\'s just been one of those days were everything has piled more stress on top of a huge pile of stress. Combustion was inevitable. Usually I\'ve actually got this kinda biting sarcastic humour and kinda let the small things go, so please excuse my ranting and go back to enjoying your Sims. At least they listen (most of the time).
