My Story:
I love my Sim friends here! You all have been so sweet and supportive. I appreciate you all! I don't visit often anymore (see blog for more info). But do enjoy hearing from you all and always have room on my friend list for more friends. Have fun, everybody!! =)

Regarding my handcrafted custom patterns: Feel free to include them on any projects you have. They may be uploaded freely wherever you wish. Credit and/or a link back would be appreciated, but is not necessary. Please do not upload my patterns individually. Enjoy!

It seems I've hit a brick wall...

POSTED ON 01/06/12 06:50 AM

It does not appear I will be making any more content for Sims 3.  My first problem started awhile back.  I was able to make and upload several of my carpet patterns as a Sims 3 rug object, but was unable to successfully create and upload any of the other rugs I had made.  After dozens of tries, I could not get them to show up on the Object Exchange.

My next problem happened when TSR suddenly deleted one of my pattern sets (my wood log set) after one person complained that one of my patterns in the set was not attaching and uploading to a lot they had made.  I do not know which pattern had the problem, or why this happened.  I had contacted the Sims 3 techs as to why the object exchange was not working and why patterns made with their Create-a-Pattern tool would make a pattern which didn\'t attach to some lots.  After weeks of waiting for a reply (because they were supposedly checking these things), I got a response.  It was their stock response of suggesting that I \"clear my cache and try again.\"  Since I am certain the problems I\'d had were not because of \"my cache\" it did not appear I\'d had anywhere further to go with this.

So, I\'ve begun study of mesh creation and applying my textures there.  But because of the problems with the Sims 3 games, I (sadly) won\'t likely be sharing anything of that with the Sims 3 community.  But I do look forward to where that might take me in the future.  Lately, I\'ve been hanging out on Second Life.  Maybe I\'ll see ya\'all there!  Look me up.  I\'m Stormy Washborne.  :)

Wow! Thank you for the gifts!

Just wanted to let patscatfreckles know that I appreciate her thoughtfulness for the beautiful gift.  Love the painting!  I tried to pop by your page, but you must have comments disabled.  I wasn\'t able to leave a note.  I hope you get back to my page to see this!  :)  I also really liked your profile and ideas for the game.  I agree there is so much more of real life they could give us an option to do.  I think that would only add to the appeal of the game for a lot of people!

And sunshineblume, I know I already thanked you, but I wanted to mention it again here.  You didn\'t have to give me a gift.  Ya\'all are so sweet!  Talk to you soon.  :)

I love my friends!

Maybe you should uninstall your game and reinstall it, factory style, then try exporting/uploading
