So, I've been waiting on "The Sims 3," since the cute pink gift wrapped box found its way on one of my sims doorsteps. Tragically, (ok, a little to big of a word but its time to be dramatic!) with all the other things going on in my life I totally forgot the release date. Yep, that's right...Im not as hardcore as I thought I was ;)
Tomorrow, Im *hoping* on getting a copy of the Sims 3 however so I can start being a part of the community. Hoping, being the keyword because if the stores are sold out...I..well, I don't know what Im going to do! I've been tempted to load up ye ole Sims 2...but knowing that after I have the Sims 3 installed I wont be touching the Sims 2...is keeping me from it.
I've been reading some Sims 3 stories though...there's alot alot of legacy's already posted. You kids don't waste any time ;) Im hoping to work on a story...but I think my first few days of "wow" will hold me back from that.
I've been reading the forum as well for pro's and con's...as if the con's would keep me from buying it anyway ;) Some people don't seem to happy that their other households keep aging if they keep the story line going and I've always mainly been big on creating towns, houses, etc and not really focusing to much on every sim or family I put into a house. Unless of couse Im making a story involving those sims. I kinda like the idea though. I mean, my biggest problem is I'd play a family, then get bored with them. Atleast now I know, that after I tire of them...their "life" will go on without me. It's kinda comforting from atleast this creators perspective. I've deleted so many familys, so many sims, but now I know eventually they'll run their own course and the sim or family Im playing currently can interact with them even if I don't want to focus my time on them anymore.
I think I rambled ;) but yeah, the jist is Im excited and really simply can't wait to install the game and get the ball rolling!
