How are we dealing with PEPS for the next few days until The Sims 3 Supernatural launches? Why, we're calling for your funniest captions on these screenshots! We just ended another round  on the forums with this scene involving a fortune teller and a gentleman with unforgettable  facial hair. Here are just a few of our favorite quotes:

"Listen lady, I'm just here 'cuz my wife wants directions to our new home. So for the last time, you may NOT use my head as a bongo drum."

"Are you SURE i'm going to turn into a werewolf come September 4?"

Fortune Teller: You're going to go on many journeys and meet a pretty lady who will one day become your wife...
Man: Well, that's great but what I'd really like to know are next weeks lottery numbers.

Fortuneteller: A clumsy person will find themselves tripping over things such as tables, chairs, people, and even the flat spots on the floor.
Man: I didn’t fall. The floor just needed a hug.

Man : "Is that really what my future holds?"
Teller : "Yes! But that was the good news!"

Man: Why, oh why did I end up with HER as my neighbour!

Teller: I see a bad haircut in your future!
Salior: It can't get any worse than this.
Teller: OH BUT IT WILL!

I read your fortune,
And this is crazy!
You'll have a bad day,
don't thank me baby!

"Abracadabra, let me move that hair from your cheeks onto your scalp!"

Guy: Lady, I barely believe that you're a psychic, but my head is NOT to be used as your crystal ball!!!"

Fortuneteller: You will feel so much lighter after you leave!
Man: Yeah right...after I paid you I will be.

Man: "...Ma'am, I am not a butler. I just want a fortune."
Fortune teller: "...and then I want you to build me a pool, and then find me a unicorn, and then you can turn my husband over there into a zombie so I don't have to understand his whining, and then I want you to turn into a pretty fairy and fly me to candy land! OH, and then..."

Man: :mutters under his breath: "Oh boy here we go again. Why did I marry this woman? She NEVER shuts up!"
Woman: "What did you say?"
Man: "Honey I said, would you like to go out for dinner?"
Man: You're going to do WHAT with my hair?

Fortune Teller: ...And that concludes everything that will happen in your future for the next 50 years. What do you think?
Man: Wait were you talking to me? I thought you were just babbling to yourself. I was just admiring that fancy rocking chair over there! Can you tell me if I ever get one of those in the future?

Fortune teller: I see your mother-in-law moving in with you.
Man: *groans* great

Gent: FLART! Shoo flee!
Gypsy: Jowlenin...Za woka genava!
Gent: Ooo shanga day?...
Gypsy: Turkey nurbler? Elicanto!
Gent: Boo basnot.

"Discouraged in learning that he would never succeed in killing the great white whale, Captain Ahab was reassured by the lovely fortuneteller that his future as a sales man at a used ship lot was very promising."

Fortune Teller: I Foresee a woman will be Scamming you really soon, Be careful who you trust!!!
Man: Can't you tell me who it Is??
Fortune Teller: That will cost you 2000 simoleons, and remember no backsies!!!

If I have to listen to this lady babble much longer, I'm going to pass out like that guy in the chair back there...

'And that was the last time Herman went on a date set up by LavaLife'

Fortuneteller: I am seeing dark and dangerous things in your future... Rabid llamas will attack your home and eat your children!
Old man: Eh, not impressed. I would be more worried if they ate my TV.

Man: If she pulls another coin out of my ear, I'm gonna have to break it to her that she's in the wrong profession...

Larry wasn't too impressed when he realized someone had a worse dress sense than him!

Fortune Teller: "I am Madame Fiona! I see all, past, present, and future!”
Gentleman: "I don't need to see the future to know you need a stronger antiperspirant. Please lower your arms."

Fortune Teller: No, No, NO! I sent you to get Mutton for the STEW...NOT Mutton Chops on YOU!

We had a lot of fun reading through your captions, Simmers. Keep a look-out for more caption fun on our Facebook and the forums! Before you know it, The Sims 3 Supernatural will be here!

Hi Simmers,

SimGuruHydra here! Last week, I had a chance to sit down with Senior Producer Kari St. John for a final Q&A about The Sims 3 Supernatural. I put out a sticky on the forums to see what questions were at the top of your lists and I thank you for sending them through. They helped me frame up a good majority of the questions I asked Kari and I tried to get as many responses as I could. :)

Here's how the Q&A went:

SimGuruHydra: Hi Kari, thanks for sitting down with me today! We have lots of questions about The Sims 3 Supernatural and are excited to hear what you have to say. I'll get right to it. We're curious about pre-made Sims. Will there be any featured in Moonlight Falls that have appeared in previous games?

Kari St. John: Hello! Thanks for having me, happy to answer our community’s questions. The families of Moonlight Falls are not directly taken from other games, but they do have family ties to several important Sims families. The Goths, Crumplebottoms and Wolffs all have offshoots in Moonlight Falls, to name a few. There are even more connections with the townies that we're hoping our Simmers find!

SimGuruHydra: Does the population control testing cheat turn random Sims into the supernatural Sims we have chosen to create if we decide to incorporate supernatural Sims in our world? What happens when we adjust those population control settings? Will the supernatural Sims in our world turn back to ordinary Sims? What other cheats are available to control the supernatural population?

Kari St. John: Before we can get into the fun stuff, please keep in mind that if you choose to use any of the testing cheats, you are on your own if you encounter technical issues. These cheats are not actively supported by EA Maxis. The 'add' supernatural Sims cheat will pick from the available Sims living in the world and adds the selected supernatural status to them. Using the Population Control Options will disable a supernatural group while a game is in progress, and will stop the game from trying to auto-populate the world with that supernatural type in order to balance the newly set world percentage. The cheat doesn't remove any existing supernatural Sims of that type that are in the world; that’s what the testing cheats are for. Finally, using the 'remove' supernatural Sims cheat will strip the existing Sims in the world of the chosen supernatural type.

SimGuruHydra: Do werewolf packs have to be part of a household or can they be NPCs?

Kari St. John: Werewolves can group with any Sim, including those outside of their household, to make a pack.

SimGuruHydra: Are the amount of rabbit holes in Moonlight Falls the same as in other expansion pack worlds?

Kari St. John: There are very few rabbit holes in Moonlight Falls. We've put a lot of effort into detailing all-new venues such as Aleister’s Elixirs and Sundries (also known as the potion shop), the Red Velvet Lounge and Varg's Tavern. We're very happy with the amount of character and personality we’ve infused into these venues. We really believe that our players will appreciate the new possibilities for exploration, great experiences and exciting stories to tell in these places. We also have outdoor venues such as the Fae Ray Arboretum and Moonlight Point which fit in wonderfully with mysterious Moonlight Falls.

SimGuruHydra: Will the Ambrosia dish from The Sims 3 base game cure zombification?

Kari St. John: Ambrosia is used for ghosts to bring them back to living status. Since zombie Sims are simply cursed, but not dead, Ambrosia does not affect them this way. Zombie Sims need to use a Cure Elixir or Sunlight Charm to bring them back to their normal status. In The Sims 3 Supernatural Limited Edition Expansion Pack, players will receive the exclusive Plants vs. Zombies Peashooter. The Peashooter will sometimes revert zombie Sims, but not every time.

SimGuruHydra: We hear that witches can resurrect Sims and when they do, they return as zombies. Can zombie Sims who have been resurrected be cured with an elixir or spell? Can witches resurrect Sims as living Sims, instead of just coming back as zombies?

Kari St. John: Witches have the innate ability to channel magic and cast spells. When they've reached a high enough wand skill level, they will be able to perform a 'Reanimation Ritual' that will raise a Sim from the dead. The Sim will come back to life as a permanent zombie and yes, once they are resurrected as a zombie, they can then be cured by a Cure Elixir or Sunlight Charm. Witches are only able to resurrect Sims as zombies, but using the correct elixirs and charms witches can then turn those zombies back into living Sims.

SimGuruHydra: Can supernatural Sims keep their identities a secret? Do others know a supernatural Sim from an ordinary Sims? For instance, in The Sims 3 Late Night, Sims would get an unfriendly vampire moodlet if around a vampire.

Kari St. John: Your fellow Sims neighbors in town, both supernatural Sims and ordinary Sims will know that you are a supernatural and what supernatural you are. Just like you can tell what a Sim is by conversing with them, other Sims in town will be able to tell what your supernatural Sim is by interacting with them. Sims with the 'Supernatural Skeptic' trait will avoid supernatural-related venues, such as Varg’s Tavern and the Red Velvet Lounge, and they will have a series of interactions that are impolite towards supernatural Sims. However, Sims who have the 'Supernatural Fan' trait will have special perks when it comes to the paranormal. They will have a bonus in their Alchemy skill and receive a 'Wow, a Supernatural' moodlet when they talk to supernatural Sims. This will increase the more times they talk with supernatural Sims.

SimGuruHydra: Can you build a fence around your lot to keep zombie Sims out?

Kari St. John: During the full moon, zombies can spawn out of anywhere on your lot, with no regard for the location of your fence. If a zombie spawns outside of your fence, then yes, the fence will keep them off your lot. However, if a zombie spawns within the parameters of your fence, I'd prepare a second line of defense.

SimGuruHydra: What about imaginary friends? Are they affected by The Sims 3 Supernatural?

Kari St. John: The Sims 3 Supernatural does not affect imaginary Sims.

SimGuruHydra: Will children inherit the same werewolf form as their parents? Normally facial structure, hair color and eye color are passed down. Will a child’s features be a mash-up of the parents?

Kari St. John: Yes, a werewolf child of two werewolf parents will take on the genetics of those two parents, the same way a child would of two ordinary Sims parents would.

SimGuruHydra: One last question. We loved seeing Argus' awesome mansion in the Producer Walkthrough video last week. Can we expect that mansion to come in The Sims 3 Supernatural? If not, will it be available on the exchange?

Kati St. John: Yes, Argus's mansion was pretty awesome, wasn't it? :) It's not included in The Sims 3 Supernatural Expansion Pack, but starting on September 4th (the day the game launches!), Argus's mansion can be downloaded from The Sims 3 exchange and be added to Moonlight Falls, or any other world with enough room for the lot (the mansion is pretty big). We're providing two packages, one with the household and one without. Please note that without The Sims 3 Supernatural, the mansion will be missing specific objects and Sim attributes, so if you plan to download this mansion, we recommend getting the full experience by having The Sims 3 Supernatural installed!

Thanks for reading our Q&A! This Friday, August 31st, SimGuruMegan will be on Twitter taking your questions live from 10:00-11:00 AM PST. Remember to @reply to us with your question with the tag #TS3Supernatural and we'll try to get to as many of your questions as we can. September 4th is just around the corner and we can't wait for you all to experience The Sims 3 Supernatural for yourselves.

Thanks a lot!

Last week I ventured off to Cologne, Germany to attend my first ever gamescom. I've been to a few trade shows previously but this one was particularly exciting because I was able to meet many of the players. Looking back, it was a crazy (but fun!) few days in Cologne and I thought I could share of few of my top highlights from the event with you all.

Day 1 - Tuesday, August 14th

Prep and practice. In the press behind closed doors area, Producers Ben Bell and Mike Zamora ran through their demos of The Sims 3 Supernatural and The Sims 3 Seasons.  I got to be their guinea pig to listen in and provide feedback. I asked them a few questions while they were running through the games but they were being pretty tight-lipped about giving me responses. I did get to experience a roller skating fairy and see Sunset Valley completely blanketed with snow. Oh, and they did tell me that pets will be able to experience weather just like Sims. If your cats or dogs go out in heavy snow, you might only see their tail as they navigate snowdrifts. The Sims 3 Seasons is looking awesome! You are not going to be disappointed.

I asked Mike if he'd be willing to give you all his experience of working on The Sims 3 Seasons and showing it ag gamescom. He said, absolutely!

Here's what he had to say:

"Our players are going to be blown away with how The Sims 3 Seasons transforms their worlds. It's not just the awesome weather effects but the activities that come with each change of seasons as well. Our team worked hard to make sure that the experience is unique for each season. At gamescom, in the midst of 90-degree temperatures, we wanted to take a deeper dive into what a typical hot summer day would be like for your Sims. One of the features that we’re most excited about is the ability to swim in the ocean. It was great to watch our fans' eyes light up when they saw Sims wade into the familiar waters of Sunset Valley for the first time. In addition, we did of course show the summer festival which featured the football (aka soccer) shootout that our European friends were really glad to see. We made sure to refer to it as 'football' while in Germany, not to mistake it with 'American football.'"

While they continued their run-throughs, I was able to stop by and visit SimCity's booth on the show floor. The EA area was huge, and SimCity was a true stand-out, dominating the entire entrance of EA's booth.

Next we took a quick break for lunch and when in Germany, eat as the locals do. We had currywurst and pomme frites!

Then later that night we opted for more traditional German fare. Food tip from Ben Bell, "Make sure you specify what's best for quenching your thirst. All of Germany likes their aqua with gas (fizzy water). If gas waters isn’t for you, be sure to say so!"

Day 2 – Wednesday, August 15th

This was the first day the show opened. Ben Bell and Mike Zamora posed for a quick pic before opening the doors to press in The Sims 3’s behind closed doors area.

Since it was all about press this day, I decided to head out onto the show floor to see what was going on. The noise was almost deafening. Every area was competing with light and sound shows and all of a sudden, there on the big screen, was The Sims 3 Supernatural trailer. The six foot high monitor displaying werewolves, vampires, fairies and witches looks absolutely phenomenal.  It gave me goosebumps!

From back in the press behind closed doors area, we received good news from the team was that everyone who saw the demo really enjoyed both games! Some of the favorites included the 'Death by Jelly Beans' ghost in The Sims 3 Supernatural and the Hot Dog Eating competition in The Sims 3 Seasons

Later on that afternoon, Ben Bell and King Choi ventured over to the EA.com room where they hosted a Live Broadcast from gamescom. They showed-off demos of both The Sims 3 Supernatural and The Sims 3 Seasons and gave a few more tidbits of news, including the announcement of The Sims 3 Sunlit Tides, available on The Sims 3 Store Thursday, August 23rd.

That evening, Italian food and karaoke brought out our team superstars! It was like being in The Sims 3 Showtime for real. Ben Bell did a rousing rendition of Duran Duran's Rio while King Choi asked us to call him maybe.

Day 3 – Thursday, August 16th

By the time Thursday came around, everyone was a bit tired but still really excited for the show. King Choi stopped by The Sims 3 Supernatural's kiosk in the press behind closed doors area and showed us his best Vanna White impersonation.

The SimCity team was inundated with lots of fans wanting to get their hands-on the demo. At one point queues to get hands-on the game were quoted to be two hours long. Show attendees even brought folding chairs to sit on while they wait!

I saw the dancing characters from Plants vs. Zombies and just had to get my photo taken with them! I cannot wait for the Limited Edition of The Sims 3 Supernatural so I can style my zombie Sims with a rag suit and cone hat.

Day 4 – Friday, August 17th

Early in the morning, The Sims 3 behind closed doors area had a surprising visitor! Germany's I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! winner and musical actor, Ross Anthony dropped in to check out The Sims 3 Supernatural and The Sims 3 Seasons. The team had some photo fun posing as their favorite supernatural with Ross.

Then it was the time we had all been waiting for – The Sims 3 Community Lounge! On Friday, excited fans were treated to a hands-on session for The Sims 3 Supernatural! The room opened at 10:00AM and after just one hour, it became a standing room only. Luckily I bagged my comfy spot (in a huge The Sims beanbag) to live blog and take photos.

Everyone was really enthused with the game! Fans spent loads of time in Create A Sim making their very own supernaturals. From werewolves to vampires to human households and fairies living with zombies, we had a ton of fun. I think I even saw some Edward and Jacob look-a-likes.

Ben Bell turned up around 3:00PM to prepare for his Community Lounge presentation. Fans were eager to see and hear what he had to say and were especially ready to embrace the supernatural when Ben greeted them fully clad as a vampire!

During the Q&A portion of the day, fans asked Ben lots of probing questions. He showed off the full elixir menu and a few of their effects. One in particular that stood out was the Tragic Clown. If you happen to be hit with the Tragic Clown elixir, you will automatically make other Sims cry just by talking to them. Ben also told us about supernatural babies. You won't be able to get mixed supernatural children, no 'wearies' or 'zompires', but you can totally customize your supernatural in Create A Sim. Want a werewolf with green skin? Done. Fancy a blue skinned fairy with red hair, your wish is granted. If a werewolf and a fairy have a baby then it will take on the supernatural of one or the other. Personally, I'd be hoping for a werewolf baby, they are super-cute when scratching at the furniture.

After Ben's stop into the Community Lounge, him and King Choi sat down for an on-camera interview. It was the perfect closing to a busy week!

We had a fantastic four days at gamescom! Thanks to all the fans who came to see us, and all of you for following along with our adventures on TheSims3.com, Facebook and Twitter. We have so many exciting things ahead for The Sims 3 and looking forward to hearing about your new adventures in The Sims 3 Supernatural and The Sims 3 Seasons.

Cheers!
